David Miller

David loves to start new things. He is the inventor of the TripChill service and
is actively involved in the vision and implementation for this new start-up company.
Prior to Skyward Innovations, David has over two decades of technology experience
in various industries and especially in the area of mobile devices. David joined
Puma Technology (makers of Intellisync) to build their new Intellisync for Windows
CE consumer product. Eventually David became the Technology Manager responsible
for all of Puma's consumer products. Among the management at Puma, David became
known as the "Version 1 guy". David has a keen ability to pull together and focus
new technology teams to produce a successful result. David applied these management
skills to help Puma successfully deliver their first 3 Enterprise platforms.
After Puma Technology, David moved on to Valco Data Systems where he became Director
of Engineering responsible for the development and support of their paper-less hospital
system. At Valco, David managed all technical aspects of their solution including
development, quality assurance, release, and support. David played an active role
in customer escalation and improving customer satisfaction.
David returned to his roots as Lead Architect for Alase Technologies where he built
a state-of-the-art laser etching embedded system and then Kronos, Inc. designing
custom solutions in the Workforce Management market. Although it is exciting to
build technology and "push the edge", David believes these solutions must ultimately
be understandable and usable by a customer.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with high honors from
the University of Lowell in Massachusetts.
