What is TripChill?
A: TripChill is a mobile travel assistant that provides proactive monitoring of
your travel plans. The service interacts with you using email or text messaging.
It has a mobile dashboard of your current situation that can be accessed from a
mobile device browser. TripChill keeps your friends and contacts updated with your
travel status. The service also allows you to book hotels and make car reservations
right from your mobile device while traveling. TripChill has a website that allows
the traveler to organize itineraries and print alternate flight, weather and driving
direction information before departing. The service monitors for flight changes
to your itinerary before your trip begins.
How do I get started?
A: Email in your travel reservation email(s) to travel@tripchill.com, which will
cause an email to be sent to you to create your new account. You can also click
here [hyperlinked] to create your account now.
Why am I not receiving any emails from TripChill?
A: Your TripChill emails may be going to your junk or spam folder. Please add
assistant@tripchill.com
to your e-mail address book or safe-sender list.
How do I change my primary TripChill email address?
A: Sign in and click on the My Account tab. Select the Personal Settings option
and then click on the Change Primary Email link next to your email address.

I can already get notifications from my airline,
so why do I need TripChill?
A: TripChill provides smart notifications
that provide details about your travel issues and targeted information to help you
resolve those issues. For example, the service does not just give you a delay alert,
but rather it gives you details about your connecting flight departure and status.
It warns about missing that connection when appropriate, providing alernate flight
options to your final destination. TripChill allows you to organize your travel
plans from multiple airlines, hotels, etc. and provides you with a consistent experience
regardless of where you booked your travel. TripChill is a mobile concierge that
is with you before you depart all the way through to the end of your trip. It even
reminds you where you parked your car.
Here is a recent user testimonial:
I received an alert from TripChill for a delay on my flight from Newark to Houston,
telling me I probably wouldn't make my connection back home. We were already boarded,
but the door was still open, so I got up and asked to get off because of the delay.
The flight attendants seemed surprised I knew about the delay, but of course let
me off, and I got home actually earlier than I would have otherwise (a direct flight
home). This was really important since I left the next day on a new trip, and didn't
want the hassle of rebooking those flights. The alert letting me know about the
delay saved the other part of my trip.
How do I use TripChill if I have an iPhone?
A: Navigate to iphone.tripchill.com to create your account and access our unique
iPhone website. After you login, you can create a Home Screen icon following these
steps:
1. Click on the + sign (center bottom of the Safari screen)
2. Click the Add to Home Screen button
Does TripChill work on BlackBerry and Windows
Mobile devices?
A: Yes - TripChill works on all mobile devices. The BlackBerry and Windows Mobile
web interface contains a situationally aware dashboard view of your current situation,
which updates as you progress through your travel. You can view flight statuses,
itinerary details, and book hotel and car reservations from your BlackBerry or Windows
Mobile device.
Do I have to have a 'smart phone' to use TripChill?
A: No. TripChill can send alerts to standard cell phones using text messaging. If
you have a smart phone, you can receive alerts by email or by text messaging. The
email alerts contain hyperlinks so that you can easily launch into the TripChill
mobile web interface.
Does TripChill work for international flights?
A: Yes, TripChill supports all major airports and airlines across the globe. You
can make hotel and car reservations for most major cities.
What if I don't have any reservation emails for
my trip?
A: You can add your flight and hotel information from the TripChill website after
logging into your account. Just click on the 'Create New Itinerary' link. You can
also create a new itinerary right from your mobile device. After adding the first
travel leg, you can continue to build your itinerary and add the other flights/hotels/car
legs. TripChill will then start proactively monitoring your itinerary.
Does TripChill support Twitter?

status.

Why doesn't Google Calendar update when I add
or change flight information in my itinerary?
A: At this time, Google Calendar doesn't offer a refresh cycle. Rather, the
calendar has an internal refresh rate, so you will eventually see your flight changes
appear in your Google Calendar.
Why are the departure and arrival flight times
incorrect except for those associated with my home airports?
A: All flight schedules show departure and arrival times based on local time (Example:
Flight 20 - BOS departs 8:00am EST - LAX arrives 11:00am PST)
. Your calendar application shows flight departure and arrival times based on its
configured time zone (Example: Flight 20 - BOS departs 8:00am EST
- LAX arrives 2:00pm EST) . When examining flight departure
and arrival times, make sure to consider what time zone the calendar application
is set to.

How do I send in email reservations from multiple
email accounts?
Click
here to edit your email settings. Enter alternate email addresses in the
fields provided (Email Address #2, etc.). TripChill will recognize email reservations
sent into travel@tripchill.com from these other email addresses and it will import
the itinerary information into your TripChill account.
Email from the supplier website is failing, missing,
or malfunctioning (SPAM blocking). What do I do?
A: Best Practice: You should always forward your itinerary
to travel@tripchill.com from your email client.
Imported emails to TripChill™ with
your email address in the From field are associated with your TripChill account.
If the supplier allows you to specify the contents of the From field,
then you can forward your itinerary directly from the supplier website to travel@tripchill.com.
Otherwise, you will need to forward the itinerary to your email account and then
forward the email from your email client to travel@tripchill.com.
If you are having problems emailing from a supplier website, the next best
solution is to capture the itinerary as an HTML page and email the page from your
email client. Do not copy a portion of your itinerary web page. Rather
send the whole web page as an attachment to travel@tripchill.com. Follow
these steps:
- Navigate to your itinerary at your supplier website
- Save the itinerary page through your web browser
Microsoft Internet Explorer
1. In the File menu, click Save As...
2. Change Save as type to Webpage, HTML only
3. Provide a directory and file name to save to and click
the Save button
Mozilla Firefox

3. Provide a directory and file name to save to and click

- Go to your email client and send the file as an attachment to travel@tripchill.com
